One of the finest initiatives taken by the federal government in recent years has been the Home Star Energy Program. The program is multifold and serves several purposes, as it helps in improving the state of unemployment in the nation by generating business opportunities in the green industry, and as a result there would be several householders, who would be more environment conscious.
Unlike other governmental initiatives, the Home Star Energy Program is unique because it involves the average citizen into the energy consumption process and the manufacturers who create such energy saving devices. Since, the program is multifold, it is being accepted with greater acceptance all over the country. The first level of the Home Star Energy Program is called the Silver Star program, which is targeted for the end customer, by providing him solutions on investments that he makes on improving his house. Imagine if by changing the alignment of your door or window, if you could save half the energy lost on artificial lighting, don’t you think such an investment would be worth your money.
The second level of the Home Star Energy Program, known as the Gold Star Program, is targeted at creating an impetus in the green energy industry. Sustainable projects would be created and vendors who can help build on these projects would also be identified as a part of this project. Both these levels together make the Home Star Energy Program, a great energy incentive by the government.
