The government has finally realized the importance of changing the perceptions of the average citizen about climate change by introducing the Home Star Program, which is an energy consumption saving program. The Home Star Program aspires to create awareness in consumers about the use, misuse and abuse of energy, and how energy saved can help generations to come.
Every watt of energy consumed has a mark on it in the form of the release of heat or other greenhouse gases. The emission of heat and greenhouse gases are helping the cause of global warming and without a program like the Home Star Program, where individual citizens participate in the energy savings program, we might never see some wonderful places in the world, which shall be submerged in a decade or two.
The Home Star Program has two levels of programs, the Silver Star and the Gold Star. The Silver Star program is aimed at helping consumers invest more on energy saving programs, while the Gold star program is targeted at helping the eco-friendly energy industry.
